The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2022 has been published. In this year’s list of the world’s top young universities that are aged 50 years and under, Istanbul Medeniyet University was ranked 251-300 globally, while it is the 1st public university and the 6th among the 40 universities that are included in the list from Turkey.
THE Young University Rankings 2022 assessed universities across a total of 13 performance indicators in five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer). The list includes 539 young universities globally and 40 universities from Turkey that fulfill the criteria.
The detailed results show that IMU achieved its highest score in the Citation area with 66 points and ranks the 2nd among the young universities in Turkey and again the 1st among the public universities in Turkish universities list in this category. In terms of IMU’s success in the ranking areas, the Citation category is followed by Industry Income, Teaching, International Outlook, and Research, respectively.
