Undergraduate Program in Bioengineering
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in bioengineering. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The Bioengineering department aims to serve society in protecting and improving human health and advancing environmental sustainability and to be a nationally and internationally recognized department by educating students with high communication skills and aiming for lifelong learning.
The program provides the best experience in internationally accepted standards with 51 courses (including compulsory and elective ones) and research programs, all covering the application of engineering principles to medical issues, environmental problems, and biological systems. The main focus of scientific study in the department consists of bioprocess engineering, environmental biotechnology, genetic and protein engineering, as well as computational biology and bioinformatics.

Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in civil engineering. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The program aims to provide students with the best education experience at internationally accepted standards with an academic staff specializing in priority research issues such as building, soil, hydraulics and water resources, earthquake, building dynamics, building materials, construction management and transportation; to train students with strong communication skills and the goal of lifelong learning; and to help them adopt learning by living and doing with a focus on project studies and assimilate the scientific approach and project culture.
In addition to basic courses such as physics, mathematics and chemistry, the curriculum is designed to provide undergraduate knowledge and skills related to infrastructure examination of all kinds of buildings, highways, railways, tunnels, ports, dams, ponds, irrigation canals, bridge design and engineering structures. The program seeks to train professional engineers with the skills to conduct practical research who can effectively use the knowledge they have acquired in solving engineering problems and designing and are aware of their responsibilities toward the environment, society, and ethical values.

The undergraduate program provides a superior training program, providing students with the basic principles, skills and tools necessary for innovation and excellence in the field of engineering practice, research or academia, allowing them to become leaders in their profession.
Our academic staff provides students with an in-depth education about Computer Engineering concepts and theories and introduces them the latest applications in the design of computer-based systems. They also equip students with a sense of professionalism, commitment to professional ethics, and effective communication skills. Alumni of the program can work in corporations as database managers, software developers, network designers, system analysts, and IT security administrators.

Undergraduate Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in electrical and electronics engineering. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The Department aims to train alumni who will successfully serve in relevant business lines in universities, private sector, public institutions and organizations; will engage in lifelong professional development to be of service to the society with highly developed professional, technical, managerial, communication, teamwork and research skills. The curriculum has been designed in line with these goals to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Through active training methods, laboratory and field applications, and projects, students will gain the competence to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems using modern engineering tools. The curriculum mainly focuses on three scientific areas: electricity, machines and drives; electronics, optoelectronics and communications; and electronic signals, circuits, systems and control systems. Students are also to complete two 20-day summer internship programs in different companies throughout their study period.

Undergraduate Program in Engineering Physics
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in engineering physics. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. Students take physics and engineering courses that are compatible with their experimental courses and will be trained as researchers who can offer productive solutions based on critical scientific thought to current technological problems. The aim is to train alumni who will contribute to the concept of third-generation university in which the research conducted in universities is developed into technological products and universities establish companies and become company partners. Program alumni will consist of individuals with the ability to conduct multidisciplinary research; to promote the results of their research both through oral and written scientific studies; and to work in global projects simultaneously.
Program alumni can easily find jobs in public and private companies or institutions where high technology is produced and used and can be employed or take part as founders in the energy, health technologies, electronics, computer sectors and in many small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in innovation work. They will be able to work in different branches of science, make oral and written scientific publications and work on international projects and will be qualified to coordinate and direct the studies based on R&D. The department has a research laboratory with state-of-the-art devices at all stages, from the production of basic device technologies to characterization and wet floors to measurement rooms. Students participate in national and international competitions and get research support for their projects.

Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in industrial engineering. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The program started to admit students in 2018. As a discipline that deals with optimization of complex processes and systems, industrial engineering mainly focuses on developing and implementing integrated systems built up by components such as human, material, method, money, knowledge, and environment. It also deals with evaluating the results and forecasting the behaviors and status of systems which are examined by combining mathematical, physical, and social sciences with the methods of engineering design and principles. The discipline emphasizes maturity in mathematics and system design.
Since industrial engineering is an interdisciplinary field, the program curriculum focuses on two main areas, which are operational research and production systems. Thus, the program offers a wide variety of elective courses as well as successive specialization courses in a continuous curricular framework with a strong focus on mathematics. Following the basic mathematics, physics, computer programming and similar general courses in the first semester, students continue with operational research courses, forming the core of industrial engineering, and related courses such as statistics, simulation, production planning and control, and quality management. They are also expected to complete a 40-day internship period.

Undergraduate Program in Mathematics
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in mathematics. The language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The aim of Mathematics department is to train mathematicians who are equipped with the required scientific and social skills to contribute to science, to exhibit how mathematics is applied to other sciences and technology, to instill the concept of mathematics in individuals, and to assist in creating the necessary infrastructure for the developments and breakthroughs in the field of technology and sciences to serve our country and the world with academic research and publications.
The program curriculum contains courses in six main disciplines (Analysis and Functions Theory, Algebra and Number Theory, Geometry, Fundamentals of Mathematics and Mathematical Logic, Topology, Applied Mathematics) as well as faculty and social elective courses.

Undergraduate Program in Molecular Biology and Genetics (English)
The Department is located in the North Campus in Ünalan and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in molecular biology and genetics. The language of instruction in the program is English. The areas of interest in the department are the development of diagnosis and treatment molecules, energy generation in the vegetative system, cancer biology, cell functions and division, researching molecular structures and processes involved in the onset of disease. The education and research plan involves a wide range of disciplines including topics such as molecular biology, genetic engineering, biochemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics, cancer biology, immunology, microbiology, genomics and proteomics. The department aims to provide its alumni with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to be employed both academically and in fields such as food, medicine, health, environment, energy and agriculture as a result of the trainings given in relevant branches.
With the theoretical and laboratory courses, the program curriculum aims to provide the students with experience in a wide variety of fields such as cell biology, microbiology, genetics, human physiology, biostatistics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, plant molecular structure and biochemistry, biotechnology, cancer biology, recombinant DNA technology, immunology, structural biology, and neurodegenerative diseases.
