Undergraduate Programs in Economics (Turkish and English)
The Department is located in the South Campus in Göztepe and actively offers two 4-year undergraduate programs in economics, offering education in %100 Turkish and %100 English languages in two separate programs. With both programs, Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Economics aims to train economists who closely follow economic developments, interpret economic indicators correctly, and have sufficient knowledge and analytical competence.
Istanbul Medeniyet University Turkish Economics Undergraduate Program provides education with its young and dynamic staff for students who want to pursue a professional career, especially in the public / private sector, and who want to pursue an academic career by continuing their graduate education. On the one hand, it aims to provide students with numerical skills with mathematics, statistics and econometrics courses, on the other hand, it aims to broaden students’ horizons with the perspectives of economic history and sociology. Besides classical and neoclassical economic theories, students are introduced to current global and local economic trends. Theoretical education is also supported in the practical field with the applied courses, problem solving hours and internship program offered within the scope of the undergraduate program. In addition to the compulsory courses, the undergraduate program includes department electives and faculty/university elective courses. Students are expected to take elective courses according to the fields they are planning to specialize in the future.
English Economics Undergraduate Program, which started its activities in 2012, provides education with its young and dynamic staff for students who want to pursue a professional career, especially in the public / private sector, and who want to pursue an academic career by continuing their graduate education. While trying to help the students acquire numerical skills through mathematics, statistics and econometrics courses, the program also aims to instill the ability to examine economic events more in-depth with economic history and sociology.

Undergraduate Programs in International Relations (Turkish and English)
The Department is located in the South Campus in Göztepe and actively offers two 4-year undergraduate programs in international relations, offering education in %100 Turkish and %100 English languages in two separate programs. These programs bring together different perspectives from all major fields in the discipline, including international politics, political history, international law, and international economic integration. The courses cover various geographic areas such as Africa, America, Europe, Eurasia and the Middle East, giving students the chance to focus on the politics of the areas they would like to study in detail. With its interdisciplinary approach and fully equipped research and teaching skills, the IR Department is determined to make a world of difference for its students who are in quest of a better future.
The curricula of both programs are comprised of a broad set of integrated courses designed to provide the necessary training and perspective for future career responsibilities in the field of International Relations (IR). The vision of the IR Department is to equip the students with a unique combination of skills, such as advanced problem-solving ability, conceptual and analytical thinking, in-depth global, regional and local knowledge, as well as high standard writing and language skills that enable them to pursue competitive careers and leadership roles in bureaucracy, academics, politics, business and NGO environments at domestic and international settings. The Department encourages its students to do internships in institutions and organizations connected with the fields they are trained for. Program alumni find jobs in various sectors and institutions. The main ones among them are universities, research centers and think-tanks, international organizations, media and civil society, foreign trade departments of private companies and bureaucratic institutions, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).

The Department is located in the South Campus in Göztepe and actively offers two 4-year undergraduate programs in management, offering education in %100 Turkish and %100 English languages in two separate programs. The program aims to prepare the students for the local and global business world with a versatile and quality education and to train managers-leaders who have the basic technical skills to be successful in digitalizing and globalizing business markets, can make successful strategic decisions in human relations, are open to continuous learning, are able to make strategic decisions, and are respectful of differences and social and ethical values.
Alumni of the program can use their technical and social skills by working in various positions in both public and private sectors. They can work in various departments of national and international businesses such as production, marketing, finance, accounting, and human resources. They can establish their own initiatives or continue their graduate and doctorate education and enter academic life.

Undergraduate Programs in Political Science & Public Administration (Turkish and English)
The Department is located in the South Campus in Göztepe and actively offers two 4-year undergraduate programs in political science and public administration, offering education in %100 Turkish and %100 English languages in two separate programs. The department aims to analyze political and administrative processes in a scientific and comparative way and to train people who would assume positions and play a role in the decision-making bodies and processes at national and international level by paying attention to the changing conditions of world. Focusing on the two closely related fields of “Political Science” and “Public Administration”, the programs aim for students to gain the ability to think analytically and critically, a solid theoretical background in politics, law, and sociology, basic skills which business life requires, entrepreneurial spirit and idealism, and passion for the service to the country and humanity.
Both programs are designed with a rich curriculum that includes different fields of interest for idealist young people who want to acquire knowledge about the basics of political, administrative and social life and take place in these processes. The subjects studied in the programs include government and power, authority and legitimacy, political participation and political parties, state, civil society organizations, administration of international organizations, political ideologies, urbanization process and housing policies, environmental issues, reorganization of state, human rights, critical and analytical thought, entrepreneurial administration, local governments, public law, administrative ethic, public policies, bureaucracy, and administration of European Union. Program alumni can find jobs in diverse areas including in District Governorships, as inspectors and specialists in public institutions, administerial jobs in NGOs, in local governments, international institutions, private sector, banks, by establishing their own businesses, and in academia.

Undergraduate Program in Public Finance
The Department is located in the South Campus in Göztepe and actively offers a 4-year undergraduate program in public finance. Language of instruction in the program is Turkish. The program aims to equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge about public finance and to provide them with both an academic and professional background. The main objective of the department is to train modern finance professionals who can work in private or public sector in line with the needs of the country’s economy and are able to follow the current developments and changes in the field of finance.
Program curriculum consists of field courses such as public revenues, public expenditures, budget and fiscal policy, as well as courses such as basic economics, business administration, accounting and law so that the students are trained in a much wider area. Program alumni can work in administrative units and inspection boards of public institutions. In addition to the public sector, they can also work in the accounting and finance departments of private sector companies and also as independent accountants, financial advisors, district governors, and administrative judges.
